Awwwwww...
It's kind of a shame Bullard made a bad choice and left a successful show for a gamble. I kind of liked the old CTV show, though I rarely watched it. It did have the advantage of endless reruns on the Comedy Network, to give it additional exposure. As well as basic, well-made promos that highlighted the reasons to watch the show: Bullard's low-key, self-deprecating humour, and great guests. Global's promos showed nothing of the sort; instead, they tried to create this abstract mood of late-night without ever showing clips of the actual show. Actually, the more recent promos did show clips, but silent ones. All in all, while Mike may take solace in the fact he was beaten by a very funny show (the Daily Show) on CTV, some of the blame should go to the people responsible for those promos.
