This ain't over

It looks like the heat's going to stay on Sinclair Broadcast Group for a while now, over their refusal to air tonight's Nightline. The show is airing as I write this... for those that don't know, Koppel is reading a list of American soldiers killed in Iraq, accompanied by their photos. Some have accused ABC of pulling a ratings stunt... I doubt it, but that's not the big controversy. Sinclair, which owns 8 ABC stations, feels an anti-war agenda is behind Nightline's sepcial broadcast. How anybody could think that is beyond me, but then, I have about a thousand times the respect for Ted Koppel that I do for the Bill O'Reilly wannabe, Sinclair's Mark Hyman, who does right-wing editorials nightly on Sinclair's "NewsCentral". (That's a story in itself.)

Going... going... gone

That's the first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise, located in Salt Lake City. It's owners have flattened it to make way for a new restaurant and a museum. Frankly, it won't be much of a museum knowing the biggest piece of history was steamrolled to build it.

Where've you been???

I've been toiling away writing invisible posts... and you all seem to have buggered off one by one! Anyway, there's no time to recap all the pages and pages of posts that have now evaporated because of your disloyalty! So, onward, upward.

Uh, witty, on-topic title here

Just discovered this show airing late-night weekends on Teletoon, and as of this moment, it is my favorite show on teevee.

These pretzels are making me thirsty!

It's a battle royale between ancilliary Seinfeld characters. My bitterness over Shakey the Mohel being left out has prompted my abstention from voting.

Visit the Colonel

Good ol' Mark Evanier claims he predicted that KFC would assert that the initials stand for something else. That may be true... but hey, it looks like they've already realized that was a mistake. Their most recent U.S. spot actually says "Kentucky Fried Chicken" at some point.

They're back

Who as a kid didn't love the juvenile humour and copyright infringement of Wacky Packages? They're back! (This is not a joke.)

They're back

Who as a kid didn't love the juvenile humour and copyright infringement of Wacky Packages? They're back! (This is not a joke.)

I'm back!

Well, I hope I've alienated my two or three regular readers with my prolonged, unexplainable absence. Now that I'm back, this is huge.
